QUICK TIPZ (Lock Colours and Clickable Image Guide)

Ok guys, so I know that I said my next post would be about sales or something, but I just felt like sharing this little piece of wisdom with you guys about locking colours when generating.

Part 1
Chart:
magenta: ff00ff (255/0/255) lock red
cyan: 00ffff (0/255/255) lock green
yellow: ffff00 (255/255/0) lock red
red: ff0000 (255/0/0) lock red
blue: 0000ff (0/0/255) lock blue
green: 00ff00 (0/255/0) lock green
white: ffffff (255/255/255) lock green
black: 000000 (0/0/0) lock red
purple: 800080 (128/0/128) lock green
orange: ffA500 (255/165/0) lock red
gold: ffd700 (255/215/0) lock red

I will explain now what locking colours means, just for those that don't know. When you generate a pet, lock colours is a function that I find quite useful. If you lock a colour (the options are red, green, and blue), the bigger the chance that it will keep a certain colour that you input into the generator. But since you can only lock the colours green, red, and blue, you may be clueless about what to lock...and that's what this chart is for!
***Note: Chart made for locking colors for pure pets

Part 2
Step 1

Step 4
 Press space and type:               [/url]
For example...

  1. Where do I put the (255/215/0) part? I've been working on a gold pure, hasn't been successful.

    1. You don't. You type in the HEX code (ffd700) press enter and lock red.

It won't come out pure but it'll be close enough that you can breed it with other, similarly generated "golds" to get a pure.

    1. You lock green & blue for maroon.
(E.g lock either the male/female with green then lock the other one with blue, breed those together)

Put in 800001 if you want even more of a chance of getting a closer code faster.

    1. You don't need any colour lock for silver, bronze, or grey.

  8. For White, Black, Red, Magenta, Yellow, Green, Cyan & Blue; you lock all colours.
(Meaning lock a different colour for each pet generated)

Alter the hex codes by 1 letter/number for even more of a chance of getting closer codes faster. (E.g. change FFFDD0 to FFFDD1, or FFFFFF to FFFFFE)

    1. For multi-pures that don't require all colour locks, stick to using the main colour locks that both colours need.

    2. Id you do this will it work to make a pure project? Or do you have to generate a bunch of close to pures, breed the starting generation of pures then start the project?
